This article is very effective as an argument due to the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s continuous use of credible sources and emotional ties, as well as clear logic used as needed throughout. These strategies work together to appeal to the audience and potentially convince them to vote in favor of Issue 1.

Rosnick’s use of statistics in the letter convinces voters that voting yes on issue 1 will benefit Ohio. However, her letter fails to be a successful persuasion because of her lack of resources and credibility.
